DOMA ruling affects ACA calculations, employer policies

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act means some married same-sex couples will qualify for health insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act while others who would have qualified if single will not qualify if they are married.
