Drinking nonalcoholic red wine may help alleviate hypertension in men at high risk for heart disease, according to a small study published online in Circulation Research. Spanish researchers who followed 67 men 55 and older found that those who drank de-alcoholized red wine daily for four weeks experienced a significant drop in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels compared with those who drank red wine or gin.
