Poor vision may keep people from exercising, possibly because of a fear of falling, according to a study in the journal Ophthalmology. Researchers found that people with good vision logged 9,700 steps each day and had 20 minutes of moderate or vigorous exercise, but that dropped to 8,000 steps and 15 minutes for people with vision loss in one eye and to 6,800 steps and 10 minutes for those with reduced sight in both eyes.
