White House clarifies tax-penalty time frame under ACA

People who enroll in an insurance plan by March 31 will not be subject to the Affordable Care Act’s tax penalty for 2014, the Obama administration said. Forthcoming guidance “will ensure that if you sign up for insurance by the end of March, you will not face a penalty,” an HHS official said.
